Happy New Year! As we start 2018, we wanted to share some recent activity with one of our fantastic partners over the festive period. Working alongside Aston Villa Football Club, Hisense helped to spread some Christmas cheer at a very worthwhile venue.
Members of Villa’s first team squad popped in to see the kids at Acorns Children’s Hospice to bring some festive joy to the wards of Birmingham Children’s Hospital just before the big day.
As the club’s official technology partner, we donated a brand-new 55-inch 4K Smart TV to the Hospice. Delivered by John Terry and other members of Villa’s first team, this festive gift hopefully will help the kids to relax, watch movies and play video games. The players also took the time to chat with the children, parents and staff, signed autographs and handed out goodie bags on the wards as part of their visit.
Speaking about our donation, Howard Grindrod, co-managing director of Hisense UK, said: “We’re really pleased that we were able to help our partner Aston Villa to spread some Christmas cheer to the children at Acorns Children’s Hospice. Hopefully our donation helps the kids and their families relax for many years to come. We look forward to continuing to work alongside Aston Villa and their foundation to support their incredible work with these really important causes.”
Birmingham Children’s Hospital is a leading UK specialist paediatric centre, offering expert care to 90,000 children and young people from across the country every year.
